As part of our ongoing fundraising drive we will
be launching our World Cup Prediction competition early in December following the draws for the various groups. We ran this
for the 2006 world cup and made over £500 profit. However we believe we can do much better this time if we are better
organised.
We realise how busy we all are running teams etc so what we need is
for each team to have a ‘Champion’ for the competition. If you could please share this information with your parents
and request a volunteer. Please let me (Jim Manton – ellen.manton@ntlworld.com ) know who this is and we will hold a meeting late October / early November
with all the volunteers.
Idea of the meeting is to get them on board and to suggest ways they can get this news
out and remind people etc. You can have a look at the current development status of the site at www.worldcupcompetition.co.uk.
We will also need as much publicity as possible in local
press etc and Malc will assist with this. Finally we also require a volunteer who can talk to the shops in Keyworth
and ask them to hold forms, perhaps collect completed forms etc. It's great fun and an
opportunity to share in the exciting journey facing the Irish boys (subject to us getting there). We are now really close to finally getting the funding for the new facility and with the new build happening in 2010 we
will need all the funding we can get. I know we can count on your support.Please
