How it works....
Initially (with the pot at £0) choose 6 numbers (or Sam Pull can choose your
numbers (AKA "lucky dip")) from a range of 1-20 . A weekly draw takes place; to win the prize fund your numbers
need to match the numbers drawn.
The range of numbers to choose from decreases each week if the prize is not won,
to a minimum range of 1-12. So, as the prize money increases, as do your chances to win....
Each ticket (6 numbers) costs 50p, 25p is contributed to the prize fund
and 25p to the club i.e if 120 tickets (worth £60) are sold each week, £30 goes to the prize fund and
£30 goes to the club's fundraising pot.
When
the prize is finally won, the winning person is informed and a cheque delivered the following week. The agent who
has sold the winning ticket is entitled to 10% of the prize (the agents "commission") - this comes from the
club's half, not from the winner's prize money.
If the winning ticket has been purchased on the day of
the draw i.e. not through an agent, then the 10% agent commission is taken by the club. If the winner has purchased
a "lucky dip", Sam becomes the agent and receives the 10% commission.
